How do we do it?
We help support sole traders regardless of the size of their business, or how long they have been trading. Being a sole trader means that you have very little statutory paperwork to deal with – really only needing to file a Self Assessment Tax Return, which as your accountant would be dealt with by us.
Your accounts are not too onerous to prepare and therefore, in most cases, your accountancy costs should be lower than other types of business. One of the main benefits many sole traders enjoy is the privacy that it offers – if you are a limited company, details of the company, including names of directors have to be lodged with Companies House, along with a shortened version of your accounts.
As with sole traders, being a partner within a partnership means you have very little statutory paperwork to deal with – really only filing a Self Assessment Tax Return, and a partnership return –which as your accountant would be dealt with by us.

Limited Companies / LLPs
If your business is a limited company it will enjoy the protection of any liabilities being limited to the company, rather than the directors/shareholders personally. Being a limited company offers more flexibility to the directors as to how they may wish to take their remuneration out of the business, which can be tax efficient.
The company is also liable to pay corporation tax on its annual profits. Although, you need to adhere to more reporting guidelines, such as filing an annual return and statutory accounts, and as your accountant, we can help ensure that you do this, within the necessary time scales.
